Clara Bastos

Clara Bastos plays electric and acoustic bass. These last years she has participated as an instrumentalist in recordings and concerts of well-known MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) artists such as Itamar Assunção whose CD Bicho de Sete Cabeças was awarded the 7º Prêmio Sharp de Música. She performed in Assunção's concerts for over 10 years until 2003 when he died. She also performed during Tom Zé's European tour in 1995 (France, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Macedonia) as well as in Paulo Miklos' solo concerts (from Titãs) in 2001 and 2002. She also worked with the following composers and singers: Sergio Molina, Paulo Padilha, Luiz Gayotto, Kleber Albuquerque, Silvana Stievano, Miriam Maria, the vocal group Beijo, the vocal group Vrap, Mawaca, the guitar player Paulo Gusmão and the guitar player Renato Grimberg.

Clara Bastos also participated in musicals such as Os Sertões (1989), by Zé Celso Martinez Correia, Mulheres de Hollanda (1990), O pequeno Mago (1997) and Buster , o Enigma do Minotauro (1998), by XPTO, and in Na Bagunça do Teu Coração (2000), directed by Bibi Ferreira.
