PLANOS OPOSTOS is the 2nd CD of the composer, guitar player and singer Sergio Molina. Special guests: Ná Ozzetti, Maurício Pereira, André Mehmari, Miriam Maria, Ivan Vilela and Simone Soul.

After having received high praise for his first CD Reflexo Futuro (Dabliú-Eldorado 1998), Sergio is back with a new intriguing work, putting the past and the future together in the Brazilian musical tradition, the acoustic and the electronic, the classical and the popular, writing and improvisation, colloquial expressions and poetry.

This new CD brings remarkable songs such as the opposed Quem será que eu sou? (Sergio Molina/Kleber Albuquerque), first prize of the First Latin American Internet Song Festival - Mp3 Club (2000) and Grão de ar (Sergio Molina/Mônica Udler) specially interpreted by Ná Ozzetti.

There was also the collaboration of other partners: Lilian Jacoto wrote the beautiful Poema Ruim (Bad Poem) for Sergio Molina's music; Sergio composed the music for Kleber Albuquerque's poem Psiu, as well as for Paul Celan's poem Cristal and Sergio's poem Noturno.

Voz Incerta was written as second part for Imbarueri by Maurício Pereira who sings with Sergio. Miriam Maria interprets the acoustic Canção do Exílio a live recording at Zabumba Studio in São Paulo.

There are also great instrumentalists participating in this CD such as André Mehamari (piano - Um só 2), Ivan Vilela (Brazilian viola - Um Só), Simone Soul (percussion - Grão-de-Ar), Lincoln Antonio (piano - Poema Ruim), Luiz Gayotto (vocal percussion - Samba Reclamação) as well as the firm and elegant base of Clara Bastos (acoustic, electric and fretless bass) and Rogério Bastos (drums).

PLANOS OPOSTOS follows and goes further on the track of the previous CD bringing to the universe of the Brazilian song great conquests of other styles such as the collective improvisation of Jazz and the structural writing of the Classical Music. PLANOS OPOSTOS is an invitation to curious ears, it is progressive, pop and contemporary MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) engaged in the evolutionary line of our song.
